Reflection
Reflection
Reflection by definition from the dictionary gave me the following: the return of an image by light and or sound waves from a surface. The surface can be a mirror, a pond or even the lens of a camera.
The meaning can be about us as individuals. Babies know when you hold up a mirror to them, who they are seeing. Babies and pets are honest. I had one dog that when he was a puppy would play with the puppy in the mirror. When you see yourself, who and what do you see? When I was a kid there were those mirrors that were wavy that would make you taller, shorter and lol fatter than you wanted to be. The point I am trying to get to is reflection of ourselves is important to us and it’s what ideally how we want others to see in us. We hide parts of ourselves that are negative. Good thing our minds can’t be read, we would make probably a lot of enemies. Our faces will often give us away and people can usually guess what we are thinking. When you see a person with a disability placard in their car window and don’t see a wheelchair do you assume they aren’t disabled because you can’t see their disability? There are some disabilities you can’t see with your eyes. Some people are bold enough to ask. Could this be a judgement on their part thinking the handicapped person is not being honest? That is a reflection of coveting something you really don’t want because they have a closer parking spot. The best reflection is one that invites people to get to know you and then want spend time with you. Those people are great at communicating and we are attracted to them. One person I remember who was a good communicator was . Johnny Carson. He always had great quest on his show and there have been few like him. When I see an actor good at their work I want to know more about them. When I watch them they show the ability to overcome themselves. I’m usually right about what I have concluded about them. If their character is bold and interesting they probably grew up in the opposite way, shy and introverted. We are the opposite way we want to reflect. Too bad we can’t just be ourselves and happy with who we are. How do people see you? Do people approach you and want to talk with you? I’m sure you’re a person I would want to get to know. Give me a moment or two to study the real you. Question to really ask is, how do you see yourself
